What breed was your chicken who laid the first egg?

Not sure bawkbawk, but I have seen one of the BRs sitting in that very spot a few days before so I suspect it was one of them. We got #2 today so we are now down to $750 an egg LOL
Newchick, the way I play I wish we had a few that layed golf balls

I am not sure I really needed the balls in the nest box but I didn't want to have to go an egg hunt every day so I figured it couldn't hurt.

LOL I guess the egg prices will be dropping a lot soon! My chickens ignore golf balls entirely or throw them out of the nest.

When our Amer. pullet laid her first beautiful blue egg, we blue the yolk out and still have it.

Also, when one of or Red Stars laid a gigantic double yolker, after just about killing myself by trying to blow the two yolks out of a pencil tip-sized hole, we had ourselves a forever-preserved double yolker egg...just as long as no one broke it.
