OOOO, I love that everyone's babies are getting here. Thank you for sharing and do post pics if you want. I love it.

I was up of course repeatedly overnight checking on the babies.
The BCMS are hatching out black, blue and splash. I just helped out 2 stuck babies, but wanted to be really fast since this is officially day 21. But these guys had been pipped for 24 hours and the hole was getting bigger in the same area but not zipping. You could see the shellac effect happening as they started to get shrink-wrapped.

It let me top off the water and I sprayed in some mist, so humidity is back up fast. *Do not try this at home.* Most folks do not agree with this but I happen to believe that artifical incubation means humidity issues and helping because of humidity is ok for me.
The count will have to do until I start getting chicks out this afternoon/tonight, sorry. 28 chicks so far.
They are chirping away and sooooooooooo cute.

10/29 BCMs - 4 black, 1 splash, 5 blue, 2 pips (original 32: lost 2 eggs to dog accident, 1 to weeping)
10/12 barnevelders - (original 24: I tossed 12 clear eggs on day 14 so hopefully these are all good)
5/5 Mottled Java (original 6: tossed 1 on day 14 - clear)
2/2 Olive eggers
1/1 Ameraucana
0/6 lav/black orpingtons - 2 pips (original 7: tossed 1 clear on day 14)
0/2 lav/lav orpingtons - come on lavs!

more soon!

that's so funny. I love that image of him trying to surf the other's egg as he was hatching. Yes, I have this happening too.

So happy to hear about all your little chickies. They are quite the characters. Surprisingly the Brahma cross is still alive. It dragged blood all over every single egg in the bator, and make the place absolutely disgusting, but is still alive. I have 7 little Silkie pips now (I have a pair of White and Buff Silkies)

My buff Hen.
And the one white Silkie that hatched so far is down right adorable. Can't wait to take some pictures, but pictures through the incubator don't seem to turn out very clear. lol.

Ok, here we go, PICS!!
I pulled most of who was hatched out. I have barnevelder #11 still in the hatcher drying, and a BCM that is pretty 'sticky' with goop, but got out himself. And 1 Lavender Orpington from a 'no tag' egg I think OnTheSpot. I will check when I can open the hatcher again.
There are 5 more BCM pips and 1 Orpington lav/black split egg pip. They are taking their time.

Here come the pics

2 Olive Eggers and 1 Ameraucana chick: Ameraucana on the right.

Same group but you can maybe see the olive eggs have feathered legs.

Ok, more pics. I'll keep adding them as I take them of each group.

Here are the mottled java chicks. I think they are so gorgeous! Love the different yellows.

OMG! They're so cute, I just want to scoop them all up and cuddle them. Love the look on the middle MJ in the first pic. Looks like "who're you lookin' at?". You take the best chick pics... thanks for the fuzzy butt fix for the afternoon!
