Yes...Dear BB is a HERO...be sure to put that on his/her tombstone. SOOOooo glad you have 5 out and more to come

We have a total count of... Wait for it... Wait for it... FIVE!

The sixth died this morning... It was weak and a little wacky...

We tried to save it... We named it Ember, the undying flame.

The others are named Bramble the Bully, Basil, Stella, Stardust, and Evie.

RIP BB and Ember.

The culprit was our school's ransid water! The water is utterly gross and possibly contaminated. The chicks were drinking that for the first week and it made them sick and die. My teacher even agrees.

I'm so angry now! We've lost four chicks and have 3 living!

i'm incubating chickens in my vo ag class. we're using an old plant incubator, they're due on the 27th. we had orriganlly set 8 eggs, then i added 2, then we lost those 2 (they rolled out of the incubator when my teacher was onpening it), and lastly, we candled then and found out 3 were not developing. i can't see through any of the 3 green eggs, so we're hopeing for the best. 1 of the last 2 brown eggs is developing just fine

If you guys think the school water really hurt the birds . . . then take a sample and have your parents send it to an independent testing lab.

It may [or may not] be safe for people . . . but all the treatment chemicals may have hurt the chicks.
