J. looked behind himself making sure no one was following him as a bloody deer draped over his broad back. His heavy boots left dents in the mud he stepped in from last nights rain. Once he arrived at the huge hole in the ground next to a gray ash tree, he threw the deer down 10 feet. There was a loud thump from underground and then growls and the sound of skin being ripped apart echoed from the hole.

J. Walked inside the hidden cave borded with rocks. He headed inside his room that had a dearth of a door and sat on his bed. His eyes stared at a picture in his room. The picture was his motivation to keep on living in this he** of a world.

D sat down on her bed. Her watch didn't work anymore, as did everything else in the world, but she knew what time it was just by looking at the sun. Only about an hour till 5. She would leave in about 45 minutes, since it took quite a while for her to get back to the plane. Cider had been tied to a tree just outside her house. She picked a flower from the flower bush next to her bed. She twirled in in her fingers and flopped backdown on the bed, exhausted. She closed her eyes, another flashback shooting through her mind.

"Daddy! Where are you going? Daddy, please don't leave!" D had cried as her father was saying his goodbyes. "It's alright, pumpkin. Daddy just has to go ask a few questions about the power being down for so long." He said in a reassuring voice, though he sounded anxious. It had been two weeks since the blackout, everything was still not working. He had a shoulder bag slung over one broad shoulder. He kissed everyone goodbye and left. He never came back. Not a word of what happened to him what so ever. Her mother was heartbroken. She finally said she had to leave. She said she was going to find daddy, but, even at 5 years old, D knew she was looking for something else too. Their mother left Sierra and D with Noah and Kyra and their mother. She disappeared after her last letter 3 weeks later. Another year had passed, D was 6 years old and Sierra was 5, Sierra went missing. Gone. D never found out what had happened to her, but was devistated. She had lost her mother, her father, and her sister. When Noah's mom died, she felt as if she had lost everything accept her best friend. Noah's mom had been like a second mother to her. And Now she was gone too...

J. Stood up from his bed and grabbed a sniper that hung from the wall in his room. He headed outside the hidden cave and climbed up one of the tallest trees. Once he reached the top he carefully hid himself leaves. Before he aimed his gun he scanned the area for any sight of movement.
