D got up and walked out of the house again. She found another path that her and her mother usually took to the town. It was a high rope bridge, now overgrown, but still sturdy:

The Small building was only a small portion of the house. Inside, there was a ladder down to the forest floor that couldn't be reached by any other way. It had her bedroom down in the small ditch:
