The grass is so green and nice, it grows on duck poop. HAHA! But seriously it ranges from lush to moonscape with poopy mud holes, The big pool helps because they spend a lot of time it in which is time not spent on the grass. I don't cut it unless it gets really long in places and it just does what it does. If you look at several of my pictures you will see that only some of them have green grass.@Tevyes Dad , your flock seems to be my flock's alternate dimension equivalent, lol. You have fifteen birds, and I will have about that amount once we cull the roosters. I will be moving in a month and plan to have a set up similar to yours where they have run of the backyard during the day (I think that's how yours are, right?). Any tips on keeping the yard looking decent with that many birds mucking about? Your grass looks so green and nice lol.

Wow. I was wondering about that between those two. Heck, Kaine in jail is for his own safety. Tevye!! You sweetie pie. KISS YOU.Sooooo sorry! I have been really busy lately and when I get home I crash. (I might spend time with the ducks, but not on the computer.) So I have a couple if pics from the last week. The newbies are going through their teen - adult molt to get their real feathers. They are semi-integrated, friendships form slowly. Allie is very aggressive so she is the least integrated. Casey has no worries and is just one of the ducks and Latte is somewhere in between. Kaine hasn't given up yet so he keeps getting beaten there is more time between each attempt, but he still tries. So far Casey is 15:0 that we know of.
Allie, Latte and Casey. It is easy to see that on Casey's back the feathers are very loose and ready to fall out. Our pool has been full of the belly feathers for weeks.
Here are nearly all of my ducks. They came out to greet me hoping I would have treats, then they saw I had a camera and started to disperse. Kaine isn't here because he is in jail and Greta is being camera shy way off to the left. They are starting left to right across the front and trying to divide them into rows: Ettie, Mystique, Pocahontas, Tella, Latte, Roxette, Noir, Rhiannon, Entie, Tevye, Casey, Allie, Dove. I will try to get more tonight / this weekend...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH OXYGEN PLEASE!!!OK, day 5 roll call and weigh in... (days 1 and 2 they were in transit so they aren't documented.) Latte 2.3oz up 35% grower of the day, but still the smallest.Casey 2.4oz up 20% should eventually be the smallest.
She still really likes the camera...
Allie 2.9oz (with an occasional flash of 3) up 26%
I spoke with Latte, and she agreed to do a special picture just for Julie. Casey wanted to help out too.
It has webs.
It has bills.
It has cute.
It has a dark Casey web on a white towel.
It has teeny-tiny toe nails.
It has little bitty nares.
It has a peeking-hiding duck. Julie, Please be very careful when viewing this picture.
Breathe and enjoy but please don't explode.
