I don't see any reason that wouldn't work, though I would probably pull the entire wall myself to make it easier to manage bedding and reach everything.

I'm going back and forth between pulling the wall or having it divided. I've got a polish and a crested mix that are slightly smaller than my other birds so being able to keep them separate could be good, but yeah bedding access could be a downside
