The Building of my Hobby Farm *Update Post 11, 14, 21 & 39*

So the rain finally let up and we got out to build. The first thing we did, was put in the floor to the chicken and goat house.

This was too easy a job, so we moved to the fence on the roof to keep the Chicken Run Anti-Hawk

After this, Mary left me for the day and I built the doors to the Run

We also had time for two openings that will lead into the corral

Well technically this isn't an opening, but it ties into the (soon to be) corral fencing...

Looking real good, and I really like your door...I have to build one this weekend myself.

It was good to get the Doors hung, and Mary was willing to test them out.

Mary chose to goof off building the Back Wall between the Coop and the Run while I worked hard at taking pictures...

March 12th was the 3 years of her dad passing away. He was a painter, and Mary had never painted in her life. She celebrated by learning to paint on our Coop in honor of her dad's memory.

We started on the Goat Condo (The good thing with Plywood and Fencing... It helps keep it all square)

Here is the Chicken Coop section.

The vent for the Coop (figured it was a good place since the plywood was short 7 inches)

My youngest came out and helped by painting the outside walls before the trim went up... She is proud of her effort, and I am glad she put her iPod down long enough to come outside and paint.
