The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

Hello!
I have 2 pet rabbits, one of which I've owned for 8 years. My one rabbit, Lion, was technically my first pet, at least that I cared for totally on my own. They make great pets and I'd love to have more and possibly get into breeding one day!

I can share some pictures later, I was actually thinking of doing a little 'photo shoot' for fun. I have a 5 year old harlequin named Pumpkin and a 10-11 year old lionhead named Lion.

I got my bunnies a litter box today. Hopefully they’ll understand how to use it. I got one that had a lid because I heard those are the kind bunnies like. We will see how it works.

I’m going to give them a fur pillow case to snuggle up with too. My bunnies are becoming quite spoiled!

I have never had much luck litter training adult rabbits, usually my mother does teach their babies where to poop.

Mine I think are young enough. 3-4 months old. I do have a cardboard box that I lined with a bag and put hay in. They’ve been using it so I assume if I put that box inside the litter box, they’ll use it.

actually we dont have a bunny anymore... it died about 2 hours ago... it was grayish holland lop.... got some sort of stomach issue or something....

They were using a corner of the kennel so I took the hay from that corner and placed it in the box and boom... litter trained. Amazing how smart they are!
