Tysm! One or two months will give me enough time to finish my article on rabbits, get on a better sleep schedule, show that I am responsible, and give her time. Hopefully that will be enough to convince herThis is a tough one kiddo. As a parent I understand where she's coming from. If my kids took on an animal I was ultimately responsible if they weren't. Showing you can be responsible is the biggest thing. If your mom has looked into any of the issues that can come with indoor free range rabbits then I'm sure she's also going to be concerned about damage to the house and furniture. It happens. Not to mention the time commitment to the events you mentioned. If your folks are already busy and don't get much down time, well that down time is precious. Adding another thing to deal with right now might not be ideal. I think your mom is avoiding the convo because either she's torn abiut it or she already said no and you're not letting it go. Maybe give it a rest and try to change your habits around sleep while showing responsibility with the pets you have now, then try again in a month or two and reconsider your approach to convince her.
First off, that amazing that you rescued her!I agree with this! Whenever my kids get pets... it’s ultimately my responsibility. Yeah, kids can care for pets but sometimes kids forget.
The beagle I have is one someone got for hunting and for their kids... she was left outside all the time because the puppy phase was over with and the kids got bored with her. The parents had no time to care for her. When she was 3 they were bringing her to the shelter until I intervened. I got her and showed her what human affection looks like. She didn’t even know how to play with toys. She was quite aggressive too because she always had to fend for herself.
Things happen...
Good luck, I hope she comes around to your way of thinking!Tysm! One or two months will give me enough time to finish my article on rabbits, get on a better sleep schedule, show that I am responsible, and give her time. Hopefully that will be enough to convince her

I think I've been quite responsible with .y current pets. I'm the only one that cares for Penny, our gecko, and I've always been the one to train, feed, walk, play, groom, and spoil the dogs.
Maybe another month or two will give my mom time to see that
Thanks for all the replies y'all, it's been really helpful ❤
Should adopt him! He needs a home and has been bounced around a lot. Think he needs a stable home. Here's the bunny I'm looking at (possibly) fostering

Ultimately, it's up to the rescue who I foster, but based off his desc I think he would do perfect in our house
Oh he's adorable, I have a harlequin (Unsure if she's a mix or not, she was a rescue) and she is the biggest sweetheart ever. I've been reading about your situation, I think everyone has given you great advice. I hope you can foster, and then adopt, a rabbit soon! Here's the bunny I'm looking at (possibly) fostering
