The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

Personally, I wouldn't get that many, even with lots of experience. If you want to keep them as pets I would only get 10 at the very most. That way you could keep them in a larger area and they'd be much happier. How are you planning on housing them?

Free range... a bunny? Where I live bunnies would either go off in the woods or a predator would get them especially with 21

I have 3 bunnies and that’s my max number. I have all females because I do not feel like I want to breed an animal that most people ditch at shelters or let loose and they become feral. It’s just not my thing.

I only sell chickens in the spring and I make sure people return the chickens if they can’t keep them... I do not want to add to the overpopulated animal rescues who take chickens around here.

I actually want to run a bird sanctuary some day... I hate seeing animals be ditched.

these are purebreds so they won’t get ditched. free range indoors not outdoors lol . it would be awesome to have feral domesticated rabbits around, it would be neat. I sell chicks but most of my customers keep them since they are such high priced.

Are you laughing because you know how many PURE BRED animals are ditched daily?

Who cares what price someone pays... people ditch pure German Shepherds they paid $1200+ for... My bunnies were $50 a piece and not purebred... I’ve seen angoras left to die on the side of the road
