The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

PLEASE don't release domestic animals. Sure, they may survive for a little while. But their genetics will muddle with the wild population and who knows what diseases they carry. There is a severe rabbit disease sweeping the nation as we speak
I was joking... I would not eat a rabbit or release it I was messing with y’all

Feral bunnies are bunnies that have been neglected by an owner because the bunny became to much for them... sad situation

Why would you get so many rabbits just to release them anyway?? They will have gone from a bad situation to worse. These rabbits are not used to foraging for their food, escaping predators, surviving weather conditions, etc.
I meant to say releasing in a enclosed area in my backyard. like a colony

I was going to keep the bucks in cages and females all outside. maybe switch now and then. what do y’all think?
If you want some pet rabbits I suggest rescuing a bonded pair, or three. I would setup a large playpen for them indoors and free roam them in a bunny proofed area. You should watch some of Lennon The Bunny's videos. They are very helpful and will get you on the right track.

she showed me pictures and they are stunning! I might release them because the rabbits living feral in my front yard are doing well!
please dont release them outside they are domestic and dont know how to properly survive for very long. if you are going to sell and eat them and you have the proper cages and feed and you will groom them once in a while...... then i would say go for it but you are in for it
