Promiseland: I would have snapped up your eggs - but my incubators are full and I need to give them a break so that I can take some time off in the Summer. I will be looking for those RIRs and BRs in the very near future! If I had my choice of layers - I would have nothing but RIRs & BRs. They are the best! In my opinion - you have two of the best types of chickens out there! You are the smart one girl!

LOL I have to agree, BRs are my core breed. I am so busy working on improving what I have, and I have 5 lines as it is now, so I HAVE to stop

And then I'm about to use my barreds to improve my blues.
I really don't think it's anything to do with you I think it's the summer heat...atleast that's why I know I'm not getting any more eggs until atleast Sept/Oct.

Honestly - I would have snagged the Barred Rocks from you Promiselandfarm... but I don't have anything at this time to offer as a swap. My girls have all taken a siesta. Now what's up with that? Who said they could go on vacation at a time like this? ... especially when Barred Rocks are up for grabs? ... Sigh.....
