See, if it were ME I would get the quail eggs, hatch them up and raise them to adulthood then let them free....Or I might have to take the turkey eggs....see, but it doesn't matter since I can't participate....

Yeah, the lady I got my quail from said she'd thought about setting them free but then realized if she got caught, there may be fines involved.

So she just wanted them to a good home. Hubby wants to eat them!

But I say, BREED EM! LOL

So is nothing of yours laying?

Is it just too hot now?

Well, all I have are my free-rangers, geese, and silkies. The silkies are laying (when I keep the liitle dingbats off the nest) and my free-rangers are laying (like gangbusters!). The geese are long since done..... :|


ETA: who's gonna know exactly where the free-range quail came from. And since cortunix are NOT indigenous I don't think it's against the law....

Oh, and heat - yeah our high today was 96 with an index of 104 (I hate humidity)
