You can always take them, and then let me know when you are ready. I have 7 babies I bought, to add to my flock, as well as to swap a tom out and start a new flock, so I can have 2 unrelated flocks.

My area is not set up for turkeys yet. we have a bad problem with the wildlife and working out some problems with areas. so i am hoping that with in 6 months i can start trying. Not sure if they can free range or not.

I don't free range my turkeys. The heritage breeds are more like your wild turkey and like to fly up into trees and stuff. I have heard stories of people trying to free range, and the birds never come back. I spent way too much buying and raising them to have them disapear. We just try and build the as roomy a pen as possible. I may not have the full story on the heritage breeds, but so far even the breeder I got started with pretty much told me the same thing. He has a big pen with 6 ft fences and bird netting across the top, to keep them in and the preditors out.

someone take these eggs. I would but I've already taken two of her offers already. I have one last thing of welsummers to offer then i'm done with them. so someone please take her offer!

I'll take them and offer 6 guinea eggs, lavendars with one white hen in the mix.
