I want a doberman as a protector more than a show dog personally. Im going to be a lawyer, so i'm going to have to live somewhere near a city or in one, and having a doberman would make me feel safe. Plus, they are absolutely gorgeous.
I do like cane corsos because they supposedly tend to pick one owner and are very loyal to that one owner, like pyrenees, which i like.

Although I do see your point on the trainablity squakers , definitely wouldn't recommend pyrs for high level training needs

Yeah, Chase is sooo trainable, I would be frustrated going to a more independent stubborn breed.

I think the funniest part is willow is the first dog I've ever trained, and she's stubborn and independent and has a mediocre food drive and low prey/toy drive but I learned on her and now training her is really easy for me. I love training with her. She's finally at a pretty good level of training too. But I get SO frustrated with Oakley because his a spaz compared to willow he's is stereotypically "easily to train" but I'm used to willow

I also love giant lower energy dogs willows independent but her bond with me is so tight

Yeah, I’d MUCH rather have to channel high drive and spaz than willow
