I thought all calicos were females? Or is that a myth? No, the don't attack my flock, but they attack my spayed, declawed, other males. I think what is attracted them is we recently got 2 new males kittens who have yet to be spayed. Everybody is grumpy and has missing fur here and there! Even our 12-year-old female who usually doesn't get messed with. I am very mad at these tom cats. >:(
I'm not 100% sure. I'm pretty there is a chance that one can be a male. All I know that I have seen it chasing my cats so it got shipped out. Yeah. A couple times the tom cats have killed the male kittens before. :( The tom cat that I had you should have seen him sometimes. He had some of his ear chewed off, once his 2 front paws were sprained so he had to hoop on his 2 back paws. His whole head would be a bloody mess. He got all of his fur on his tummy ripped off.

You might be thinking of Tortie's. They have a weird gene that causes mostly females, the boys that are born are usually sterile. here's a tortie:
