I really wanted to get goats and figured out the whole monthly/yearly cost and how much to build the fence etc. but we decided it was to expensive at the moment. :) Oh well!

I think we're going to free range our goat too. Well, I've seen ppl stake them out on tethers (like the kind on the dog isle), and no one has told me that's bad for them or anything. That way we'd just need a corral and a little barn for them to sleep in, no fencing in a large area. KWIM? Also, it doesn't snow here, so we have green stuff almost all year round; cuts way down on feed costs. =)

Quote: I've heard staking can be dangerous. If you can keep an eye on the goat to make sure it doesn't get tangled, it could be fine. Another thing is predators - If you have large dogs or wolfs/coyotes around you they might try and take the goat.

Oh, see, no one had ever told me anything like that. Thanks. =)
Yeah, predators and chickens, goats, any prey animal.

I am cleaning out my closet today and there is stuff all over the place in my room. While I am knee deep in cloths and sentimental junk, the 1 /12 year old walks into my room, looks around, and says, "Uh oh!" Yeah, that's about right. :P

Funny you mention cleaning out your closet.
I restricted my girls to their room until it was cleaned up; 24 hours later, I could see the rug for the first time in months. lol

One and a half year old?
Yeah, they're great at summing up things like that. lol

What's your favorite thing?
