The chicken won.

Glad to hear you got something... Sounds like the buckeye will make a great mom.. I love having 2 hens at once brooding, so the chicks dying for whatever reason is like 10 times less likely to happen. I like moving my hens into a dog box w/ eggs at night, so she'll usually stay and she has eggs so why leave? Usually works, I tried it during the day once and failed. Some hens are jut stubborn! But, if you give them somewhere warm and quiet (I usually use my room, but I suppose garage or something of the sort, if you want outside I have no idea) place with eggs, feed and water, it's hard for them to say no to that. But the biggest thing is they will poop on their nest somethimes that way /:

The dingbat was moved at night, every time I moved her, to a quiet, smallish location. She also had food and water nearby. In the house is not an option here. She was just a very stubborn broody. Once she got her way, she sat tight!
