We finished our chickenhut today! It's home to 4 Golden Comet hens, who are 20 weeks old, and going to be laying ANY MOMENT. We built it out of recycled materials scavenged off of CL, only buying the roof and the hardware cloth (even the paint and hardware were recycled!). It has a chicken door, an egg door, a clean out door, and a full size screen door for humans, because I like to hang out with the hens. It's light enough for two women to drag around the yard. Yay for finished project, and yay that the hens aren't in our broken-down hillbilly rabbit hutch anymore!
