The chickens seem happy but is the coop big enough?

There's plenty of room.

According to the book "Back to Basics" you need 2 square feet of floor space per bird. It is my opinion that you have enough space for your flock size right now and if you move it frequently should not have any trouble! But I've been wrong before. My chickens are not pets and are not pampered but they do come to me when I go to their pen and want pet and treats.

keep your eyes open around construction sites for extra fencing etc, ask around in case people have dog runs they don't use anymore... if someone is tearing down an old chain link fence, try to get some of it. you'll come up with something, but really, they have enough room for the most part. It sounds like they're doing ok!

Mostly, fencing isn't so much about keeping the chickens in, as keeping stray dogs and nighttime marauders OUT.

My chickens currently have slightly less than ideal square footage in their tractor - the only one who seems slightly uncomfortable is my RIR roo who is of course the biggest. Still, no one is getting bullied and they are all healthy. I let them out to free range when I can watch them, and the bigger coop is under construction.

Just for your info. TSC has "cattle panels" on sale for $19.99 (they're usually $21.99 at my store) it's a website sale that says in every store, but my store didn't know until they rang it up and lo and behold what I said was right.

So you might want to print the webpage showing that price, then they can match it if necessary.
I just got 2, so I know. hehe

You can sometimes hit a jackpot on used fencing supplies at a scrap yard. That's where I get mine (got welded wire for a barter, T-posts for less than half the price of new, and hoping to get some gates tomorrow)
