Any of you other MPC recipients today from Saratoga Springs, NY? Lady at the post office when I went to pick up mine said there were two packages of chicks from MPC there today.

The one you have labeled as an Aussie is most likely pic 5 or maybe 6 I think 6 Is your Wyandotte. 2 is your BR.. I think

Does anyone have any insight as to the litltle dried up yolk "button" on the last chick pictured. I posted a thread about it in the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures section, but no one has answered yet.
If the vent is clear, I'd just leave the 'button' alone.
I have one little runt keet who has one also, but I just keep the vent clear with vaseline and he's doing great.

New, updated pictures at age 3 weeks!
This is Hazel, our Barred Plymouth Rock. She is the sweetest and boldest of the group. She will fly right up to us when we take the lid off the brooder, and want to be held. Totally relaxed when we pick her up. She is also the first to investigate any new food or toy we introduce.
Delilah, our Black Australorp. She will also fly right up, wanting attention, although she doesn't like to be held as long as Hazel. She will happily roost nearby. Inquisitive about everything!
Maple, Buff Orpington. Likes to sit on our shoulders. Sweet natured.
Shirley, Columbian Wyandotte. We're wondering if she might be a rooster. Her/his tail is growing at a much slower rate than the rest. If a roo, we're debating whether to keep the name Shirley, or go with Monty. Doesn't particularly like to be picked up, but is fine with being held once we have her/him.
Sophie, SilverLaced Wyandotte. Doesn't particularly like to be picked up, but quite cuddly once we have her. Is completely crazy for mealworms! They all are actually, but this one goes after them with particular enthusiasm!
Kitty, Speckled Sussex. Also very sweet. Doesn't particularly like to be picked up, but quite cuddly once we have her.
Lola, an Easter Egger. Bit of a spaz. Prefers not to be held, although when we took her into the other room to take this photo, she was very content to be held, as we were the only familiar thing in the room!
Sassafrass, an Easter Egger. Not crazy about being held, but will tolerate it. Seems to be lowest on the pecking order, but she is quite clever when it comes to food. Scoffs up the dropped tidbits while the others run around playing chase with the treats. Loves yogurt!

I would love to see pictures of all the hatchmates mentioned earlier in the thread. How is everybody doing?

they are so cute i thought i was finished with getting more baby chicks till next spring or summer but guess what i ordered 8 and will be shipped on aug 9th i just hope that the storm they are predicting to enter the gulf goes away so they can get here safely a ne storm has started to rear its ugly head so i will have to keep an eye on it again they are so cute
