I made my introduction on the 14th when we got 3 little buff rocks....
now, 2 weeks later, they're doing well!
Peck is my daughter's favorite. She hangs out with her and watches tv, and since the kid saw "max the roomba cat" (google it if you haven't seen it, hilarious) she's teaching her to ride the roomba. (OMG, I know, Peck is the chicken I won't be able to get out of the house...) Lilly and Carmen are also thriving and friendly, but are less people oriented.
We built a bigger brooder box for them, used some styrofoam insulation sheets for walls, and 2x2 and 1x2 lumber. It's working nicely, except they peck at the insulation. When we get the coop built, I'm glad I know not to leave any foam insulation exposed on the inside...
Still perusing the plans for coops. Can't decide but the one thing that sticks in my mind is "make it easy to clean". That is the main criteria while perusing. How will this be easy to clean?
Like I said in my intro, I don't get to post much, and may go through some "feast and famine" periods of posting.
Thanks for all your replies to my other post, and thanks in advance for any to this!
