Good luck! Idk what age group you teach but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE always watch the kids with the chicks!! They can so easily be dropped and die

I'm not a teacher, but yes, their actual teacher has done it many tines before with even younger children

I'm getting the eggs on day 17. It's a very short drive away but does anyone have any tips on travelling with eggs? Should I walk or drive? Should I put them in an egg box? Should I keep the incubator on in the car?

I was almost thinking I would have to do this with my class hatch. My thoughts were when driving the eggs would all be rolling around like crazy. I was going to put them in an egg carton on thr floor of thr car and wrap the incubator in a towel, immediately plug in when it got home, and replace eggs as quickly as possible. How far of a ride would you have? I would think 10-15 minutes of their “mom” being “off the nest” would be ok. I would be more worried about them rolling around in there.

It's a 4 minute drive to get there but it's only 2-3 mins on the way back to my house fron there

I might do this. I'll put the eggs in an eggbox and I'll wrap the box and the incubator up nicely. 3 mins later I'll sort it all out extremely quickly. Then the next day, lockdown!
