You might also consider doing a study comparing fermented feed with standard feed. One study stated that initially growth was decreased on FF, but shortly after that, the chicks on FF surpassed the chicks that were on standard feed. The theory was that there was a bit of a "learning curve" for the chicks to get used to the wet mash.
