Yes!Do any of you make your own butter, bread, quilts, ect?
Also, I plant multiple gardens which contain: squash, asparagus, potatoes, tomatoes, corn, kale, and other vegetables, blue, black, and razz berries, wild grapes, and we have apple, cherry, apricot, nectarine trees. I have a peach pit that I hope sprouts, and we MAY get a beehive (probably not though)I want to become more self sufficient by getting 2 or three goats for butter and milk, but I don't really have room for more than one goat. I've heard that you need at least 2 goats. Other than the milk/ butter part, I am fairly self-sufficient with chickens for eggs( we don't kill and eat our chickens), venison for food, pond stocked with fish for food, and pheasants for food, (if we are desperate for food, which probably won't ever happen).
That's cool! I've been shaking the cream in a bottle to make butter, I'm waiting for my aunt to send me an old family butter churn. The weather is beautiful, its a sunny 73° degrees, perfect for germinating seeds! We had a heat wave that killed my corn, pumpkin, and squash, but I replanted. @Hens rule
Cool, I wonder what the people in the car are thinking.Awesome @Rocky64 ! I have a contest going with my dad that I can grow a better garden than him. I'm gonna grow corn, tomatoes, squash, strawberries, beans, lavender, sunflowers, and herbs. He doesn't even know what he's gonna plant, and planting begins now for zone 9! I think I know whos gonna win... I found this on The easy garden from the garden humor thread, I think you might like it...![]()
