We had a machine delivered on a skid at work around a year ago. This is no ordinary skid....it's 8.5' x 9.5' and heavier than snot. I took the skid and have had it outside doing nothing for a long time. Now it's time to start building a coop on it.
From the pic, you'll notice some additional lumber on top that was used to secure the machine. I'll take these off and start with a flat surface. I plan on putting an 8x9 coop on it and housing 342 hens in it. JK...I plan on 20. It's pushing it just a little, but I plan on making it up with the run.
The run will be at least 10'x20'. I've got plenty of room and may make it bigger and just upgrade the coop later on.
Any and all suggestions are welcome!
I'll keep y'all posted on the progression with new pics along the way. Thanks for looking.
