the girls will be 12 weeks on wed - got them from ideal. buff orpingtons, brahmas, ee's, and wyandottes. i figure i will grow the lavender and basil just outside of reach of the run so i can chuck some in for them every day. we are using hardware cloth (omg! so darn expensive - i tried craigslist, no luck - so ebay has it for quite a bit less than home depot and lowes) they wont be able to eat the plants through the hardware cloth. i should have the pics up tonight.
with all the essential artwork (well dh knew what he was getting into when he married me and the looks of amused shock and disbelief i get are priceless - at least it makes everyone smile) purple with sparkles on the front where the girls cant get to to peck - the name of my coop is going to be "mothers cluckers".
