The tree is in the cedar family. I used a limb as a roost because the top is on the flat side rather than being rounded.

. My neighbor said the tree was planted in the mid 50's. It is an old growth cedar. The weather in the PNW allows for quick growing not a lot of deep freeze to slow growth.
