the coop is done.... picture heavy is an understatement

yes it is linoleum ... i wanted to try the deep litter method i've been reading on here about... so i figured i'd need to use that on the bottom since i was planning on letting everything sit there for long periods of time... it should help me when i go to clean it out as i can get the floor wet without many issues after... that board in front of the door comes out as well so i can just sweep or spray everything right out the front door when im ready....

first night went well... they all made it through and were pretty quiet when i went out there to check on them...

oh and besides telling the guys that built it how i wanted it done.. i cant take any credit for the construction... im not a very handy handyman... so i did pay to have it done... and all of the ideas about the coop and run came from this website... i cant say enough good things about this site and all the information one can get from it...

the blue material is the same as the roof... blue galvanized tin ... the hinges on the nest boxes left some room for rain to get thru... so we had them put some tin above them... it rained really hard yesterday and the boxes stayed dry... so far so good....

el w... i cant even get them to do chicken chores around here lol let alone at your place... one day i'll have some acreage of my own... and then we'll see if my 2 hands can build a chicken coop...

and tara rose... if you want the builders name and number im sure he'd be happy to work something out with you... all i did was post a listing on craigslist under "wanted" .... and they answered the ad... he lives in deltona

thanks everyone

oh and el w... i do fit in the chicken run... lol im only 6-4 lol
