The coop part deux

Here's the new coop, much bigger than the old, holds 13 birds, 11 barred rock, two bantam cochins. Dad put the timer on the back patio light so I'm all set.

It took me a moment to figure out what the pretty 'shutters' were - very clever!

Got them from the dollar store. Heater registers, so I can close them in the winter. I was very surprised how hot the coop could get, sometimes like a green house with so many windows. Gotta do the roof before winter.

Nice coop! Mine is a foundation and some bricks on the ground. I enjoy reading these coop posts so much that I think I'll make a project of mine and put up drawings, pictures etc.
