The coop survived a tornado!

I'm giggling right now because we often joke that the coop my father built for our chickens could withstand a tornado........and it looks just as solidly built as yours, so it probably would. Glad all of the girls are safe and sound!

It was kinda weird seeing the swirling clouds. It's definitely not a common thing around here. Mostly it just made a big mess, and downed a lot of trees and of course power lines with them. And now I am very confident that our pretty purple coop can handle pretty much anything! And no chickens ended up 'over the rainbow'....ha ha.

Looking through the coops to get ideas. Think I'll study yours for awhile. I live in Tornado Alley myself and am thinking sturdy sturdy sturdy.

My hubby put three foot earth anchors on each corner of my hen house as well as the fence around the main run. We've been having heavy winds the last few days and I hope it does down tomorrow. Sorry to hear of the damage some of you have sustained. But you know, my set up isn't on our home owners policy. The will soon be changed! Thanks for mentioning it!
