First I built the little barn. It took 9 2x4's @ $2.50 a piece. All other materials came from a job site. The run cost me $13 for the wire. The wood was an old deck.

The nesting box doubles as a place to set waterers. It has it's own access door.

The roof also lifts to get access to the inside.

A peek inside.

Next I built an A frame for the game birds I bought at the swap. It's 70 inches across, 40 inches high, & 8 foot long. It took 8 -2x4's The rest was free materials & materials I had. I double wired the top And put heavy wire underneath.

This is the improved old coop, that my neighbor gave me. I jacked it up,slid skids under it & drug it home. It needs a paint job.

I love to recycle, we lost a shed roof off our big barn to ice a couple of years ago. We salvaged all the metal roofing and a lot of posts and 2X6s. Here's what we did with that salvaged material.

We just recently took out the roost poles and install poop boards.

The only lumber purchased for this project was plywood to build the nest boxes. They are protected by the roof between other building and the coop.
