It's certainly very interesting. :p I've never heard of them before in my life. My knowledge of Australian animals pretty much goes as far as kangaroos, emus, koalas and crested pigeons.

Crested pigeons are everywhere here. :p They wander around on roofs, and streets, and colonise parks and power lines. They can be heard and seen doing the courting thing all year round.


And they go "whew!" in that high-pitched voice which is really hilarious. :p
 
We also get them walking through the hub all the time. People take photos and put them on the "funny things seen/heard at uni" Facebook page. But it's really very common. :p

Definitely my favourite type of bird, hands down. They're such a hoot.
