Welcome to BYC life of Australian :p (sorry I wasn't here to say hi earlier as I usually would've been. Today I was walking to the city again, and when I got here I was looking at pictures of 20-yr old version of a certain famous historical figure on tumblr :love Besides, it would've been past 3am by then - I aim to get into the city late so I don't waste as much time on the internet. I find it quite hard to get off my behind and go do something with my life once I'm there. :p)
 
o.o Well I'm glad you got through it ok. People do make quite a big deal out of it so it sounds scary when you say you've had it :p
Probably isn't as dramatic as the media makes it sound though. As is the case for everything.

I'm back in my wifi spot. I set out late today. It's 4 already. :p

That is what I heard. Honestly, why did they panic instead of just let people know it is out there, wash your hands, avoid sick people, stay home if you are sick, help those with bad immune systems avoid it, and encourage the vacciene only for the delicate with bad immune systems?
What year was that anyway? two thousand nine, ten, or eleven?
 
Looked up swine flu on BYC and laughing over threads of people panicking over it. Honestly, I have no clue why the media decided to totally freak out over a bad flu bug. I now realize it was 2009 and that was the year it occurred to me that the media sort of does seasonal panics--first the swine flu, then that oil spill later that year, then...
