sometimes I kinda wish that she loved me a little less when I cant leave because our neighbors complain about the noise

Sorry for the absence of my majestic mightiness, school and work and life. Lerf.
We also had our coop ransacked by a raccoon and lost a bunch of birds. :( The thing dug a foot deep hole (several actually, it must have taken all night) and eventually got under the coop and managed to pry the bottom of the door up. Only a crack, I really don't know how it fit in or got out. It couldn't even fit the big hens out. We've been patching up a survivor which it tried to pull through, her poor leg and side are not in good shape. Not that she's letting that affect her eating in any way.


On a lighter note, they now make pink Goldfish crackers. Seriously.
Pink ones. Like, they squished a bunch of flamingos and put their essence in a fish cracker.

she was like a dog, followed me around, clucked with delight when I came out to the coop, and if I sat down would run and jump into my lap to be held. She was a blue silkie hen a little over 1 year old named Scarlett, my best chicken in over 8 years of raising chickens, I balled and am balling my eyes out just thinking of her. I found her under the coop(the coop is on little legs) all sprawled out with no obvious signs like blood, feather loss, foam at the mouth, or any sign of injury; which makes this harder not knowing what happened to her, if she was in pain, or if I was at fault
