Do you know accusative and nominative? Dativ is basically the third one you learn after that. As in mir, dir, ihm, etc.

Ah okay, well we're basically learning it like a subject. Like English. Sentence structure and that whole hog. I'm grasping it okay, don't know what's goig to happen if I ever have to GO to Germany ;/
