That's what I was wondering also, what is the purpose or are they just pets? I want to sneak in a pig and then see that my hubby says. It will be for eatin', but they are against the city ordinances, so hubby says no, we'll see.

Irish Dexters are mini dairy cows. I want some of those....but I only have a tiny suburban lot. I don't think I can pass them off as an exotic dog breed

Growing up we had a dehorned wether goat in a suburban neighborhood and our next door neighbor thought it was a vicious doberman since we had fenced off a part of our yard to keep him in.....

There's no telling what people will think you have.... Hmmmm, can a dog sound like a cow??

I did some reading and found that because they're small the meat is leaner especially the highlander.... didn't see anything about the dairy ones... but I would think they would be the same as the big ones just in a smaller package... you might not get as much milk...

I'd like to get by with a cow but afraid DH would kill me for having another mouth to feed!!!
