Ashling ran towards the sea. She had to get there. Behind her, she could hear hunters running after her. She stumbled and fell

Ashling jumped to her feet and continued to run. A shot rang across the area, and one of the selkies, Opal, face planted into the ground. She would never get up again, but she and the other selkies could not stop to mourn. As Ashling stood at the edge of the sea, she summoned a massive wave, crushing all the hunters, and then she leaped into the water
