The hunter ran out and across the square. He had another trap set in the forest and planned to check it.

Ash ventured into the forest to get some wood.

Rose looked at the bag, trying to decide what to do. She didn’t know if it was dead or alive, the hunters weren’t very good at providing that information.

Ash spotted a branch and climbed up to snap it off. He noticed something on the branch and decided to investigate it.

The hunter went to find his trap and saw someone trying to take his trap off the branch, "hey! you!"
Ash turned and saw the hunter, "oh hey-" his greeting was cut off as the hunter shot a bullet at the boy in the tree. Ash's grip loosened from the tree and his body fell from the tree and landed with a thud on the forest floor. He screamed in pain and the hunter loomed over him, "you're cursed, aren't you?"
Ash tried to lie through his haze of pain, "ye- I mean, no. no."
The hunter laughed and shoved him into a bag. Ash screamed again and the hunter headed back to town, following the stream (towards Lunaka's house.)
