Alana listened carefully. Did she hear a stream? No. There was nothing. She began to feel faint for the want of food and water

Ash kept walking until he was looking up at the trees and basically tripped over something (Alana) on the ground. He stumbled backwards and grabbed a branch to steady himself.
Alana opened her eyes. "Hey! Watch were you're going!" She began, but then toppled over from dizziness
"are you ok?" Ash asked the girl. He nudged her.
Alana opened her eyes wearily. "No." She didn't even care if this guy was a hunter who was going to finish burning the rest of her.
"oh." he said, "what do you need? I can probably get it for you."
"Death." Alana groaned, flopping to her side. Honestly, that sounds really pleasant right now, She thought. A lot more pleasant than living my miserable life.
"oh. oh no! please don't die! you don't want that!" Ash said, "here," he said, digging around in his pouch, "food? water?... a feather?" he said frantically.
"You don't have any death on you?" Alana asked with disappointment
"I really wouldn't want to be carrying around death all the time, would you?" Ash said, "food? water? feather?"
