Ashling jumped up. "Hey, leave those alone!"

Ashling jumped up. "Hey, leave those alone!"

(okay so does he make them living again? or do they stay dead? ) the skins started to stir and topaz jumped back and they turned into selkies (does that happen?)

(So in a lot of folklore I was told when I was little, if a selkie's skin was left behind, they could be thrown into the air, and then they would basically disintegrate and go into another person's blood, turning them into a selkie. The other version I've heard that would be interesting is that Ashling would place the skins in the water and they would become normal seals.)

(Nope, the only time I've heard of that happening was there was a selkie who died, and when her friend threw the skin into the air and a person became selkie, the friend went and found something deep in the sea to give the new selkie memories)
