Crowing
The hunter finally reached a door, and opened it, revealing a dark hallway. He continued to drag the bag, before reaching a staircase. He threw the bag over his shoulder, and started up the creaking steps.

What am I, a sack of potatoes? Rebecca thought angrily. But then again, she hadn't expected to be treated like royalty here. The hunter finally reached a door, and opened it, revealing a dark hallway. He continued to drag the bag, before reaching a staircase. He threw the bag over his shoulder, and started up the creaking steps.
Rebecca's mouth hung open. "I'm one of the smallest people in the village. I'm practically light as a feather!" Literally. Well, more like a million when I'm a falcon, but whatever. Rebecca added in her mind. The hunter stepped up onto the last step, his forehead covered in sweat. ‘ You need to go on a diet, you know.’ He said as he started down another hallway, his boots rubbing against his ankles uncomfortably.
‘ Sure. What do we do with a fat cursed like you? Grind you up and feed you to the dogs?’ He laughed, though he knew his joke wasn’t all that funny. It wasn’t even really a joke. No wonder Steve had said he didn’t have a sense of humor. No wonder his wife left him when he tried to tell a joke. It was all making sense now.Rebecca's mouth hung open. Rebecca didn't understand why he was laughing. She was just skin and bones. "I don't understand you." She sighed‘ Sure. What do we do with a fat cursed like you? Grind you up and feed you to the dogs?’ He laughed, though he knew his joke wasn’t all that funny. It wasn’t even really a joke. No wonder Steve had said he didn’t have a sense of humor. The hunter just sighed, and turned towards a door. He knocked on it, impatient. ‘ Rose? I got one.’ He yelled proudly, though he was a bit scared about what would happen if this girl wasn’t actually cursed. Rose would kill him for sure.Rebecca didn't understand why he was laughing. Rebecca froze in her bag. For once, she was kind of scared. The hunter just sighed, and turned towards a door. He knocked on it, impatient. ‘ Rose? I got one.’ He yelled proudly, though he was a bit scared about what would happen if this girl wasn’t actually cursed. Rose would kill him for sure.
Rose turned to look at the door, and walked over. She gently opened the door, not in the mood to hit someone with it. ‘ What did you get?’ She asked, yawning.
Rebecca called through the bag, "If I'm annoying, then I don't know what this hunter is." she tried to sound brave, but her voice wobbled slightly‘ I got a cursed one ma’am.’ He said, lifting up the bag. ‘ She is a talkative one, quite annoying too.’ He added, quietly kicking the bag.
Rose stared at him, not quite sure what to do. The prison was full, so this one couldn’t go down there. Maybe, she could train this one. The cursed ones were powerful, she knew that because she herself was cursed, and maybe this one would be of use.
