Very well written and kudos to you for doing it right, rather than just going after him in anger. I agree with those who say if you have roosters you should be prepared to cull. If you're not, don't have roosters! Around here, even nice roosters are very difficult to place. There are a lot of backyard flocks in the Bay Area, and most of those are not allowed roosters. The shelters that take them are full, and ads for free roosters abound. Rehoming an aggressive one is unethical, IMO. I would love, love, love to raise some cute fluffy chicks, but thanks to BYC, I've learned that the odds, even with "sexed" chicks, are that some will be male. I can't/won't cull, so it would just be selfish to pass my "problem" on to someone else. So I got older pullets, and an adult hen. Problem solved.
