The difference between Cuckoo and Barred is?

Yep, your green-egger girl is definately cuckoo (and adorable!), another fairly easy way to tell is to look at the of the tail. Barred birds tend to have clean, crisp barring all the way till the end of the tail, cuckoo birds tails tend to turn more grey at the ends with very little distinct barring.

Stacy, your silkie is so cute! I think it's pretty funny she has a clip in her feathers. Whatever works right? At least you can see her face that way.

How do you get a cuckoo silkie? I've only ever seen Splash ones.

I got the eggs from jenlynn4 (Sassy Silkies). I actually had a few other colors from her, but my resident fox at them.

I got the idea for the hairclip one night when I noticed she couldn't see anymore. My daughter still had all her little clips from when she was small, but they were still too big for Miss Cuckoo's head. I found some at Walmart that are almost microclips, and those work great. I got the iridescent pastels.
