The difference between owning chickens and being owned by chickens...

If you are owned by chickens, you have spent 3 of the 4 hours of the first Spring -temperature day, with bright sunlight, feeding special treats, moving things around to help find those juicy yard bugs, and cleaning the coop. Meanwhile the chickens wander around, clucking loudly and demand more attention.

you'd like our girl vera, she doesn't like cats either. beats on them every chance she gets, give them good wallops on the head and sends them running. i grabbed one of our two cats and held him down after he was taking a bit too much interest in a few babies and she sprinted over at full speed and had a good go at him straight away while he was pinned down haha

I do not plan to put up privacy fencing to keep my girls safe,to expand my coop area,plant a garden full of things the girls will love.I do not make them hot oat meal and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Salmon and left overs for dinner.I did not make water heaters to keep the water warm for them. I did not put up enough heat lamps to keep my coop in the high 30 to low 40s even when it was 0 deg here.. OH YES I did... I can't help it,when they see me they run to meet me..I AM OWNED ..
