Oh my gracious!

I love, Love, LOVE Grace's close up face shot. Oh that nose is so wonderful. Both pups are beautiful but well, I am partial to Grace. She really has a head that I like.

How are YOU feeling? I hope with all this adventure you are taking care of yourself and sleeping when you can.

Thank you everyone.

I am still sad about the losses, but it is hard to focus on that when you have such robust and beautiful puppies in your box, even if it is only 2.

I am thankful. My puppies are doing well, and my b.itch is healthy and recovering very nicely.

Both puppies at this early stage appear to be very nice, but Grace shows great potential.

No, she was not spayed. In fact, my repro vet said that what happened is just a fluke, that her uterus and everything else looked in excellent condition, and that she should be able to have a nice litter for me on the next season.

They are cute! Dumb question tho. What causes a cleft palate and are there chances of that happening in subsequent litters?

It is a congenital defect, not typically considered hereditary. My repro vet was not concerned, and said that she should be able to bear a healthy litter right behind this one.
