Well the inside is just about done now, flooring is in, insulated, and I put some typar up to cover the walls until I can get some plywood this weekenc.. The girls are in their tonight (they're all quacking nice and loud, so I'm assuming girls...). Settler, we have an outside access nestbox that is about 20 inches wide, deep, and high because we only have the three girls right now, this should be sufficient enough for them. I built it so that they can pile right up inside the box, much like our chickens like to..I made the chicken nest boxes 16x16

I've just been so busy, its the end of the school year.. I went back for another year in high school (I'm 20) to get credits for university, and these past few weeks have just been horrible. Right now I'm working on my isu for history in a mad dash the night before it's due because I spent all my time slaving away on a 7 page english essay that clearly meant more to me, and so other things like the duck house, Luna our horse, and work around my parents farm have suffered as a result. I can't wait for this to be over so I can just relax, finally get the fencing done in the top fields so we can move Luna out of the bottom field, build the darn run-in shed, and get some actual work done!

UPDATE

Okay so its not really much different except the nest box (and a half) is on, and there are two very pretty hanging baskets on it LOL

As well, here is a photo of our nest box (and a half). It's not painted yet, but it will be the same colour as the rest of the duck coop, and the roof of it (the lift up bit) will be a beige steel roofing, we found some that the previous owner had left over from our houses roof (just like 3/4 of a sheet).

And the girls on their first night out, I put up a 60 watt light bulb, gave them some peas, corn, and some of their feed, my nifty new waterer solution, and some hay to sleep in and they seem fairly happy so far. No one has mastered the ramp yet, they just kind of get a little ways down it and...fall off LOL, they'll figure it out eventually.

You'll notice that the insulation is *quite* finished and the plywood walls aren't on, but WHATEVER... they're getting done over the weekend...I'm actually putting in some roxel batt insulation as well as the styrofoam insulation as an extra boost in the winter because I don't plan on putting a bulb in their coop, only in the big coop.
