My DH tells me they're ok but he doesn't like them as much as I do. Lol

That's so sweet. Ducks aren't like dogs where you can say "hush" and they go quiet. Talking to them will typically entice them to talk back. LOL.I showed these pictures to my DH and I said do you notice anything in these pictures? LOL, I too wish he would get more involved. I told him I'm going to take a video of him as he is always telling my ducks to shut up. Not in a mean way but a way that just makes them talk more. He helps me feed and pen them up and does anything I want for them so I am grateful for that.
Mine would never admit to liking them or the chickens, lol.My DH tells me they're ok but he doesn't like them as much as I do. Lol
I don't think he knows that and I'm surely not going to tell him. I get a kick out of them talking back to himThat's so sweet. Ducks aren't like dogs where you can say "hush" and they go quiet. Talking to them will typically entice them to talk back. LOL.

LOL. I agree. As Dave says, and he applied it to Calls but I think it's most ducks, ducks will get into animated conversations with their humans.![]()
If you can see both next to each other the drakes are huge compared to females. How can you tell the difference between a female and male Muscovy about 6 months old?
Sorry to hear this especially about the dogs. I never take that chance with my ducks[Muscovy] I always clip one wing after molt each year, way too many predators out there with Duck on their menus. My hubby probably plays with the ducks more than I do![]()
Wobbles, love the pictures! Willow is my favorite.
So my mallard hen seems to have walked offWe haven't seen her since yesterday morning. I'm holding out hope that she saw a flight of ducks somehow and decided to join her wild kin, but I'm worried that she may have flown into a neighbor's yard, and there are a lot of dogs around here
Poor drakes don't know what to do.![]()
