Hey ceasrgirl the egg has a little hole in it and I see something black I think it his bill it looks like he is breathing because the shell over the hole is moving a liitle like he is breathing but isn't breaking the egg anymore. Is this normal? Should I just wait? Will he continue to zip the egg, today is day 28?

This is the hard part...sit on your hands!!! This part can take a while!! Duck egg shells are tough to break out of!! But, since you can see into the shell, he's getting air. And since he's an early pipper, he's probably still absorbing yolk. Any news on the other eggs? Is your humidity and temp holding steady?

Yes temp and humidity good, I see one other egg that like it is internally piping but hasn't come thru there is another one looks as if it was trying but don't see that its doing anything. Can't see any other signs on the other eggs, I would think day 28 I would at least something going on with them. The eggs r from 2 black Indian runners would they be black?

Yes, you could have dark colored babies! And, from what you've described, that's pretty good action! I would say to practice patience and don't open bator. Things sound good. And once one starts peeping, you might start seeing more action or at least hear peeps from other eggs. It's a domino effect!
